Max knows his organic chemistry, but more importantly, he knows how to help others understand it. After racking up hundreds of hours of tutoring experience both through private tutoring lessons and through Boston College's Connor's Family Learning Center, he knows what students struggle with, and he understands how to help. This experience is found throughout this course, as students are given analogies, thorough examples, and straightforward descriptions to help them learn Organic Chemistry.

Max has done research in biology, chemistry, and psychology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, and Boston College, respectively.

Max is the president and founder of Orgo Made Simple.

While Max is the voice of the class, many members of the OMS team spent lots of time and dedication into making this the best preparation possible for O-Chem.

What is the format of the class?
<p> The class consists of 4, approximately 1-hour lectures that combine the instructor drawing on the screen (think Khan Academy) and PowerPoint slides. We find this to be the most engaging, most efficient way of instruction. </p>
What's covered in the class?
<p> We carefully examined the first semester of Organic Chemistry and chose the most important concepts and concepts that cause the most number of students to drop out. 2 lectures are spent on these foundational concepts and 2 lectures are spent on "weed out" topics. </p>
Why can't I just prepare using my textbook?
<p> You certainly can. But most students study only the first few chapters, which is the most basic part of O-Chem. The Orgo Made Simple team has closely analyzed the first semester of Organic Chemistry, picking out both the most important and most difficult concepts in the class. </p>
